I had an incredible time attending CTN Expo this year, and spent much of my time in LA seeing friends old and new. So my trip was more personal than business this time around... I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves!
I'm incredibly excited to take part in yet another Cartoon Network art exhibition at Gallery Nucleus! Sadly I won't be able to make it in person, but my art prints will be available for purchase through the Gallery Nucleus website: Pas De Deux and You Lift Me Up.
There will be a costume contest on opening night, Oct. 31 from 2PM-8PM, so be sure to dress up as your favorite Cartoon Network character! :)
My last show for the Fall Convention Season will be at Bellingham Comicon, Oct. 24 from 10AM to 5PM at the Ferndale Events Center! I will be at Exhibitor's Booth #25 all day Saturday, next to a bunch of fabulous artist friends.
I heard about the show through my friend Kiri, who wrote a super useful con report about last year’s show (and actually inspired me to start writing my own much-shorter reports). All in all, this show was AMAZING, a great 1-day alternative to the 2-3 day conventions that can be rather brutal one’s body and mind. Sales were great, and the crowd was super friendly. I look forward to coming back!
Post-convention dinner with THE BESTEST ARTISTS
So I just learned with less than a week's notice that I'll be returning for the 2nd year in a row to Geek Girl Con! This is my favorite show and I'm thrilled to have made it off the waitlist. Come visit me at Exhibitor's Booth #212, Oct. 10-11 at the Washington State Conference Center!
I'm returning for at second year to Rose City Comic Con (Sept. 19-20) at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, OR! I'll be there all weekend at Booth #1134 with a bunch of signed posters, canvas prints, and postcards!
This turned out to be a REALLY fun show, in which I got to meet Zach Callison (the amazing voice behind Steven Universe) and give him one of my prints! So exciting!
I'm leading a kid's art activity and trunk show at the Wing Luke Museum, for their Family Fun Day workshop! I will be there from 11:30-1:30 on August 15 to do a painting demo and group drawing activity. Big thanks to May Nguyen for the great opportunity!
The event will mark the grand opening of their new exhibit, "Tales of Tales: Animals in Children's Books." I had the pleasure of serving on the planning committee for this exhibit, along with my husband Sam LaMonica and my friends Ken Taya and Rodney Bambao. Come check it out when it opens on 8/15!
I'm incredibly excited to announce that my art will be hanging up at Local Color Art & Coffee in Pike Place Market from June 6th to July 30th. Opening reception on Saturday, June 6 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM! Stop by to meet the artists, and get a free signed print from me while supplies last!
I'm going to exhibiting at my very first Vancouver Comic Arts Festival, at the Roundhouse Community Centre on May 23-24. Look for me at Table M6 in the exhibitor's hall, among a group of super talented artists! This show is FREE to the public, and the artist roster is ridiculously impressive!
I'm going to be at Sakura-Con this year at Exhibitor's Booth #709, right next to my artist buddies Ken Taya and Scott Kikuta! Stop by to see our medley of Asian inspired art! :)
I've re-upped my ECCC booth this year with the same group of amazing local game artists! I'll have signed posters, postcards, and a bunch of new art from all my recent gallery shows. Hope to see you there!

Post-con update: This was my most successful show so far! I never believed that I would be able to make several thousands over a single weekend just by selling my artwork. And this group inspires me to dream big and hustle! Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by my table. You’ve inspired me to keep doing conventions, and to keep getting better!
